Design leader for complex cloud, security and commerce platforms.
For 20 years I've led product design, from Apple to AWS. I turn sprawling systems into products customers understand, and I get product, engineering, science and executive teams building the same thing.
- Led the AWS Config redesign and helped drive 5,700% year-over-year growth in Advanced Query.
- Took two AWS products to launch at re:Invent: IoT device onboarding in 2019 and Network Security Director with Amazon Q in 2024.
- Aligned VPs, SVPs and Principal Engineers across AWS Security on one experience vision in five months.

Selected work
Five projects where the hard part was as much organizational as visual.
Turning AWS Security into one experience
Leadership heard the same thing from enterprise customers: the security portfolio felt like a pile of separate products. I helped define what a unified AWS Security should be, and found a way to ship it without changing a single API.

Launching an AI security product in six weeks of build
As the only designer in Perimeter Protection, I got stalled product and engineering teams aligned, wrote the requirements engineering built from, and designed the Amazon Q experience for a re:Invent launch.

Redesigning AWS Config for enterprise scale
Years of feature growth had made AWS Config hard to use at scale. I led the platform redesign and design system, and the flagship features that followed grew fast.

Onboarding millions of devices to AWS IoT
Device onboarding starts on factory floors, not in the console. I built the org's first customer research program and redesigned provisioning around real manufacturing workflows.

Redesigning how people buy phones on T-Mobile.com
Buying a phone means plans, trade-ins, financing, credit checks and partner rules from Apple and Samsung. I led the shopping redesign that made that complexity manageable.

How I lead
The habits that show up in every project above.
Make the idea visible early
When teams talk past each other, I sketch the interface live so everyone reacts to the same thing. At AWS this turned two weeks of stalled alignment sessions into the working model for a launch.
Let customers settle the argument
I run research at the pace decisions get made, as often as three sessions a week. It's what let us defend critical decisions in weekly SVP reviews.
Design the organization, not only the product
I set up cross-org working groups, shared vocabularies and early dependency maps, because inconsistent experiences usually start with disconnected teams.
Build systems that outlast the launch
Design systems at AWS Config and T-Mobile, and a component-driven UI for AWS Security, let teams keep shipping consistently long after the first release.
